Ever since I restricted the features on @preethiprabhudotcom to sundays and moved to original content for weekdays, its been a constant battle of if I should post it here too or will I be boring you guys with the same content on both handles.

The idea of Mydesiswag was to bring real Desi homes under one searchable hashtag. The last two and a half years has been a fascinating journey with all you guys, and to mark this milestone, we wanted to do something significant.

Do you remember our 5 day mega-giveaway to celebrate 50k images? We HAD to go bigger for this, so this time we’re asking YOU to join us in giving-away.
Given the current situation around us, we thought we’d make the celebration meaningful. And here’s how we’re doing it. We (that is you and us) are going to raise ₹1 for every pic posted on MyDesiSwag. Together, we will raise 1 lakh rupees to support WithAarya, a government recognised NGO that we know personally, and has been working tirelessly with under privileged patients and their caregivers.

What happens when you lose your 7-year-old child to a disease that affects only 1 in every 10 million people, with only 500 known cases in the world? You cry, mourn, feel frustrated and wonder ‘why me?’ And then, if you are Shital Bhatkar, you pull up your socks, roll up your sleeves and decide to do whatever in the world you can to help others in a similar situation.

If I tell you guys that one of my favorite activities in the Lockdown has been to get on the ladder and wipe the ceiling fans, some of you will roast me no end. But it's true.

There is something about wiping the dirt off a fan blade, it's like cleansing your soul. Only my fans are dull and boring.

It's Lockdown, but a girl can dream. So I partnered with Signature fans from Luminous to add some spice to my otherwise boring ceiling. On the blog I am talking about four different
decorating styles and Ceiling fans that can match. Finally a Match made in Decor heaven!
